About Lisa

Hi there! My name is Lisa Morosky. I’m the Founder of VAforBloggers.com, as well as the Founder of LisaMorosky.com , IJustWantToWinSomething.com, and SpendLessOnLife.com. In addition to operating my own blogs, I provide specialized virtual assistant services to my favorite people in the world: bloggers!

How VAforBloggers.com Came About

VAforBloggers.com is the product of one part determination, and one part “lightbulb moment”.

In 2008, these were my truths:

  • I hated my current job.
  • I was spending hours a day learning about blogging and Internet marketing and social media.
  • I was interested in this whole idea of being a virtual assistant.

After a moment of empowerment (a yearly review where my supervisor picked every part of me apart, and left me feeling like a failure and like I didn’t matter), I decided that I was going to go out there and get my first client as a virtual assistant.

And I did (his name is David Risley, if you’re interested). David said something to me that turned on a lightbulb and ultimately was the basis for creating VAforBloggers.com. He said he chose me as his virtual assistant because I was interested in the world of blogging, and ultimately aspired to do what he was doing.

Right then and there I realized my market, a market of people who so need someone to step beside them and take some things off their plate: bloggers. Not only that, it’s a market I was already planning on becoming a part of. And it’s a market full of some of the most intelligent, thought-inspiring, and kind people I’ve ever seen.

The rest is history. :)

Education

I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in December of 2007 with a B.A. in Media Studies, as well as a minor in Communication Arts & Sciences. I am always furthering my knowledge of blogging, Internet marketing, and social media by participating in numerous online programs, learning from the best of the best in the industry, and attending industry-specific conferences, workshops, and meetups.

Experience

I have over seven years of traditional administrative experience in the banking, hospitality, and IT fields. I have been both blogging professionally, and providing virtual assistant services to other bloggers, since early 2009. I have been studying professional blogging (and blogging personally) for, oh, forever.

Skills

Every single service I offer is a skill of mine (I wouldn’t offer the service if it wasn’t).

  • Traveling anywhere I can get my husband to go with me.
  • Eating popcorn while watching massive amounts of reality TV.
  • Belting it out to my favorite songs.
  • Playing Wii.
  • Enjoying each day of life I’ve been blessed with.
